It all began in Maryland, back in 2020. One of our friends set us up on a blind date, but because of COVID restrictions, our “date” took place at Joe’s house. Fun fact: Joe loves to tell people that Ha made the first move by asking for Joe’s phone number. Ha says she only asked because Joe had asked for her Instagram handle, and she was getting tired of messaging through DMs so she took the direct route! And just like that, our story began.

In the summer of 2024, we went on a camping trip with Joe’s parents to Greenbrier State Park. That morning, we hiked up a mountain, taking in the beautiful weather and stunning views. When we reached a scenic spot overlooking the lake, Joe’s parents suggested taking some photos. After they had their turn, it was our moment in front of the camera. As we posed together, Joe surprised Ha by getting down on one knee and proposing. She was completely shocked and overjoyed all at once but without hesitation, she said yes. It was a beautiful, unforgettable moment we’ll cherish forever.
