Tyler and I met as most millennials do, on a dating app, Hinge. We matched in April 2020, right at the start of the pandemic. We ended up having a lot in common, including being very adventurous and outdoorsy, having a passion for travel, and a LOVE for food. We can’t wait to own a 4Runner someday and have a few golden retrievers running around our backyard. Our first date we went on a hike in the foothills in Albuquerque and ended up spending the entire day together, capping it off with pizza, one of our favorite foods. Since then, we've hiked all over New Mexico, skied, kayaked, biked, golfed, and even ran a half marathon together in New York!
We took our first big trip together this past summer to New York City and we were so excited to have a whole week with just the two of us. We had tons of plans and couldn't wait to see the city. One of the things we were most excited for was The Top of The Rock Observatory (on top of of the Rockefeller Center). It was cloudy the night we went so there weren't many people. Tyler set up the tripod to take a picture of us and I had absolutely no clue what was about to happen. He started walking towards me with the biggest smile on his face and got down on his knee and asked me to marry him, obviously I said "Yes!”
