To Do!

Beaches!

There are many public beaches around the island, here are a few of our favorites! South Beach: Long stretch of barrier beach on the south shore of the Island. This beach is closest for those staying in Edgartown! State Beach: A small, more mellow beach, this beach is situated between Edgartown and Oak Bluffs. Along this beach you can find the famous "Jaws Bridge" to jump off of! Island Spirit is a small kayak/paddle board rental shop located along the beach. Grab a boat or a board and float around Sengekontacket pond. Menemsha Beach in Chilmark: If you have a rental car, a trip out to Chilmark is a must! Menemsha is a quaint, authentic fishing town on the western side of the island. If you venture out there, make sure to stop by Larsen's Fish Market for some clam chowder and a lobster roll. Moshup Beach: A Brown Family favorite - this beach is worth the drive! With beautiful red, clay cliffs lining the shore, this is a true MV gem. Note: parking is $20

Fish!

If you're looking for some sporting action, there are tons of ways to fish the island! You can of course venture out on your own, but below are some companies you can charter through! Kismet Outfitters - Fly Shop with lots of fun options for guided half- and full-day trips on boats, paddle boards, and shores. https://kismetoutfitters.com/ Deep Sea Fishing options: Out of Menemsha: https://bassnblue.com/ https://tomahawkcharters.com/ https://www.menemshabluescharters.com/ Out of Oak Bluffs: https://www.mvskipper.com/about.html Out of Edgartown: https://www.marthasvineyardfishing.com/ If you are less interested in fishing, but still want to get out on the water, you can sail around Edgartown Harbor with Catboat Charters!

Golf!

Golf at the Royal & Ancient on Chappy! 9 hole golf course that you can get to via the Chappy ferry off Edgartown. Play a round at Farm Neck! We recommend booking tee times well in advance!

Hikes!

There are many beautiful trails in MV! Please bring bug spray and check for ticks after your hike! Menemsha Hills Reservation: Located in Chilmark, this preserve features about 3 miles of trails across woodlands, coastal plains, and rocky shoreline. Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary: About a 1–1.5 mile loop (or slightly more depending on path) in a 400-acre preserve: woods, brook, and beach views. Brickyard Trail at Menemsha Hills: Trail length: ~3.2 miles (out and back ~3.9 miles) through woodlands to a shoreline with historic brickworks ruins.

Eat!

A few of our favorite restaurants, broken down by town! Edgartown: Port Hunter: spicy marg and buffalo brussels are a must Atria: go to the basement for the best burger Behind the bookstore: anything from coffees/pastries to delish din! The Covington: coziest spot! Get the mussels and sausage - trust us! The Seafood Shanty: water views and a good beer! 19 Raw: the best oysters - walk in's only! Oak Bluffs: The Red Cat: rotating, farm to table menu with seasonal ingredients! Offshore Ale Co: fun spot for a beer and apps! Nancy's: dock-side seafood and fries! Vineyard Haven: Net Result: grab and go sea food - lobster bisque is a MUST! Salvatore's: if you need an epic bowl of pasta El Barco: covered patio with margs and tacos Waterside Market: best sandwiches The attic: elevated bar food and a good cocktail Beach Road: elevated sit down - sister restaurant of State Road Off the beaten path: Chilmark Tavern: an Island OG! State Road: Beach Road's sister restaurant - a treat
