Bride
Despite being a faithful Presbyterian, Hadley was seriously considering entering a convent and becoming a nun before meeting Mike Vlahogeorge. She's been a proud and independent single mother to her 14-year-old shih tzu, Sophie Jane, since adopting her in 2008. A high school English teacher after graduating from Purdue (Boiler Up!), she holds a masters degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Education and an MBA from the Woodrow Wilson fellowship at the University of Indianapolis; she's currently employed at a large public high school. When not molding young minds and encouraging responsible decision-making, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, community service, organizational systems, and letting Mike distract her from her overcommitments.
Groom
Mike is a kind and honest man of few words, but anything he does care to articulate is either vitally important to the advancement of mankind or hilariously funny. He is only 6'3", but when people meet him in person, they would swear he stands 7" tall. He played quarterback at The University of Northern Colorado on a full athletic scholarship where he was also academic all-conference three years in a row. After graduation, he earned a JD from Stetson University before moving back to Indiana to help start the family business: Aqua Hill Aeration Inc. His 8 year-old chocolate lab, Lincoln, was going to be the Best Man, but he can't make it because he has a thing in Tampa that weekend. Mike enjoys cooking, reading, learning new things, and basking in the wonder that is Hadley.
Maid of Honor
Kate was Hadley's sorority sister in Alpha Gamma Delta at Purdue. The day after Bid Night, Kate came up to her after Comm class noticing the matching shirts and invited her to get a Den Pop. Pops turned into dinner at Jake's (R.I.P.), which resulted in Hadley sharing her political ambitions and general life plan. Kate made it one of her bucket list items then and there to torpedo any chance Hadley would have of being elected to public office, and a true life-long partnership began. There are too many years of "One Tree Hill" cast meets, vacations, road trips, and lake weekends to count between these two. And despite Mike's entrance into the picture, Kate will always remain Hadley's "person."
Bridesmaid
Anne and Hadley met as kids at Northminster Presbyterian Church. Their friendship solidified in late high school when they realized they had similar senses of humor and a great appreciation for the ridiculous. Anne is basically an honorary member of the Moore family; she is the one person that genuinely likes Hadley, John, AND Emma, and the feeling is mutual (well, other than their parents- allegedly). Anne and Hadley have supported one another through years of single girl misadventures, and Anne is the reason Hadley and Mike met because she plied Hadley with enough mimosas one brunch to convince her to create a Match.com profile. Anne considers this her greatest accomplishment to date.
Bridesmaid
Emma is Hadley's younger sister. Hadley basically manifested Emma's entire existence, as she nightly prayed for a baby sister and even utilized a few years' worth of Santa requests in her pursuit of sisterhood. They are eight years apart, so Hadley often sought a maternal role in Emma's childhood- much to Emma's dismay and disgust. (Pro tip: Don't ask about the "Rugrats" incident). These sisters can be very similar, which can either unite them or exasperate them (and the members of their extended family). Emma has a heart for others, managing a non-profit out in Denver, and she is a doting mother to her twin shih tzus (and Sophie's beloved cousins), Claude and Louise.
Bridesmaid
Amy is Mike's older sister. According to family lore, on the day Mike was born, she chose his name. As Mike grew up, she was always there for him- including making him look cool by driving him to school. Like all great older sisters, Amy can always be counted on to organize a family dinner at the last minute. She offers invaluable life advice while managing to raise the three coolest kids on the planet. The mom/teacher/chauffeur/wrangler of Charlie, Henry, and Hilary, she still manages to be a darn good time. She has been known to turn any space into a dance party; she doesn't even need a dance floor.
Best Man
Matt is Mike's younger brother. In addition to being the first freshman to make the varsity football team at Jeff in order to play on the same field as Mike during his final high school season, they played together again at the University of Northern Colorado, and they now work in the same office at the Vlahogeorge family business. Matt has been a dependable and loyal brother and will do anything for Mike.
Groomsman
Bob has been a member of the Vlahogeorge family for over 14 years- ever since he was lucky enough to marry Mike's sister, Amy. Mike and Bob have a long history of sharing bottles of Pinot Noir on family vacations. Bob keeps everyone well-fed with a variety of smoked meats, and his collection of exceptional kitchen gadgets is the stuff of legends. He's an incredible host for all family gatherings. Bob is the first to jump in the passenger seat when Mike has an idea, which is both a blessing and a curse. He's been a brother and best friend to Mike since the very beginning.
Groomsman
Charlie is Mike's oldest nephew, and he quite frankly might be Mike's favorite person on the planet (except for Hadley now... sorry, Charlie). Mike's best memories involve reading books to little Charlie, and he still loves seeing that curiosity and intelligence in his nephew. Charlie is an excellent big brother to Henry and Hilary, and since their first meeting, he's been welcoming to Hadley. He even read "The Hobbit" at her suggestion (OK, and maybe because he was forced to choose an independent book for a school assignment). Watching Charlie grow up into an awesome young man has been a true joy for Mike.
Groomsman
John is Hadley's younger brother, and since the day he was brought home from the hospital and thrown to the floor by her, he's had to put up with a lot. He spoke very little as a small child because Hadley did most of the chatting in their home; needless to say, her foray into preschool was a welcome respite for him. She still does a lot of the talking, but John does not hesitate to correct any of her fallacies with his dry wit and sage wisdom. Until Mike came along, he served as Hadley's emergency contact and provided her transportation to the ER as needed. John's excited to pass that baton but less thrilled to be photographed/wear a tux.
Ring Bearer
Henry is Mike's second nephew, and he is definitely the entertainer in the family. He even hosts a cooking show on his YouTube channel. Ask him about dinosaurs; he's a self-taught expert (and don't worry- he'll correct your pronunciation of each species as necessary). In addition to his academic and creative pursuits, he is a devoted parent to his fish, Dinosaur Candy.
Flower Girl
Hilary is Mike's niece, and she is six years old just like Eloise (a book that Hadley gifted her for Christmas; Hilary enjoys Eloise because "she is naughty, naughty!"). Hilary suggested Mike propose to Hadley rather early on in their relationship, but they're choosing to believe it's because she recognizes their innate compatibility and not the opportunity to wear a fancy flower girl dress.
