Things To Do

Cafe Raymond

2009 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

We went here on our first date and regularly after then. The breakfast and lunch menu has options for families and adventurous eaters alike. Hadley loves the Yuriy's Breakfast and Lukas Loves Big Ray's Burger, however, they well known for their blueberry ricotta pancakes.

First Watch

215 Settlers Ridge Center Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205

You cannot go wrong with a single item on their menu! First Watch has multiple locations, so you can find the closest one to your lodging. Hadley and Lukas almost always order the Healthy Turkey and Elevated Egg Sandwich, but make sure to check out their seasonal specials!

Eggs N'at

8556 University Boulevard, Carnot-Moon, PA 15108
, (412) 262-2920

Want to eat like a Yinzer? This is the spot for you. Expect a bustling breakfast/lunch atmosphere in a converted house decked out in all things black and gold. Portions are very generous, but if you are feeling extra hungry try the Iron Worker. There may be a wait on weekends, but it usually moves fast. This spot is close to Sewickley and the airport, so swing by on your way in or out of town.

Honeygrow

105 South Highland Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206

If you like stir fry and CYO concepts, this is the lunch or dinner spot for you. This is casual dining that is great for take out or a fast meal. They also have CYO salads and a frozen yogurt bar. While this location is close to Hadley and Lukas's venue, they frequented Honey Grow while at Temple University in Philadelphia. In fact, its CEO graduated from Temple. Go Owls!

Driftwood Oven

3615 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201
, (412) 251-0253

For those who are looking for a quick, casual lunch or dinner spot, this sourdough pizzeria and bakery is just down the street from the venue in Lawrenceville. If you are in the mood for something lighter they also have a selection of by-the-slice pizza, salads and sandwiches. You can either dine in or place an order for pickup or delivery.

Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar

46 18th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

If you are seeking a classic Pittsburgh lunch experience, a fry stuffed sandwich is just what you need. We know it sounds weird... just trust us!

Las Velas

21 Market Square, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

With great food and lots of special memories for Hadley and Lukas—including a high school Spanish project—this traditional Mexican restaurant is a favorite. It’s right in the heart of Market Square, where you’ll find local shops, live music, and seasonal pop-up vendors.

Nicky's Thai Kitchen

903 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15222
, 4124388424

Since high school, Hadley has had this restaurant on speed dial! If you like Thai food, you will have a great experience at any of their three locations. Hadley always gets an order of the fresh spring rolls and Lukas likes their phad see eaw.

Soergel Orchards

2573 Brandt School Road, Franklin Park, PA 15090

Fall is in full swing! Nothing is better than a cup of hot apple cider, a hayride, and pumpkin picking in the crisp air. While you are there, shop local in their gift barn and grab some lunch at their deli (fantastic BYO sandwiches and soups!)

Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

1 Schenley Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15213

With 23 unique gardens to tour, decked out with glass sculptures and other design, you will most likely see at least one proposal at Phipps! We love going here for a museum-like date. While in the area, have a picnic at Schenley Park or do some shopping in Oakland.

Duquesne Incline

1197 West Carson Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

If you are looking for a classic Pittsburgh activity, take a ride up the Duquesne Incline to soak in the city views. If you have time, don't come right back down! You will find great overlook spots for a picture, fine dining experiences, and hiking trails.

Senator John Heinz History Center

1212 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

This is a true Pittsburgh museum! Lukas and Hadley went here on one of their first dates and recommend it to both Pittsburgh locals and visitors. In addition to the Heinz ketchup displays, Hadley loves Mr. Rodgers' Neighborhood and Lukas enjoys the Pittsburgh sports collections.

Puttshack

1729 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

Take your average mini golf experience, bring it inside, amp it up with neon lights, and add interactive twists. The best part? The golf balls track your scores automatically, so you can focus on connecting with others and trying their craft cockails and appetizers.

Duck Pin Bowling at Pins Mechanical Co. & Coop de Ville

407 Cinema Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15203

Take duck pin bowling and add an adult indoor slide, classic pin ball and arcade machines, and a fully stocked bar with a generous happy hour. Go after 8PM on certain nights and you can play free of charge! If you are in the Strip District, check out Coop De Ville for a similar concept. Unlike Pins Mechanical Co., Coop de Ville has a counter-service restaurant and coffee shop in addition to its bar offerings.
