What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive at 4:30pm to account for parking. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm.

Cocktail Attire, we encourage you to dress up with us! The ceremony and dancing will be held outside on the covered patio and dinner and drinks will be held inside.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will take place on the covered patio at the venue and dinner and drinks will take place inside. The weather can vary in Columbia SC in March but is currently expected to be around 75 degrees during the day and chillier at night. In case of rain or colder weather, the patio opening will be covered and heaters will be utilized.

How will food and drinks be served?

Answer

Cocktail hour will be buffet style. Dinner will be formal with food served family-style with wine and beer pairings. Non-alcoholic and options will be available. We look forward to eating dinner with you at our favorite restaurant!

What is CITY GRIT?

Answer

CITY GRIT Hospitality was a 2023 James Beard Award Finalist for ‘Outstanding Restauranteur’ for their work both in their restaurants and in the community. CITY GRIT is home to a wine store, market, lunch counter, catering company, and casual fine dining restaurant. The front half of the restaurant operates as a market for grab and go food, for products made by women and people of color, and as a wine store - featuring one of the best selections of grower champagne in the state. The back half hosts a wine bar and casual fine-dining restaurant. We feel so lucky to host our special day with the CITY GRIT team who mean so much to us and the Columbia community. Where should I park?

Answer

Parking is limited in downtown Columbia, but there are several options available. If you are staying in town, many of the hotels in the area are within walking distance. The Lincoln Street Parking Garage located at 820 Washington Street is a 7 minute walk. Metered parking is available along Lady Street and Gervais Street, as well as the parking lot behind M Vista (located at the intersection of Wayne Street and Lady Street.)
