We met through our mutual friend (and bridesmaid), Kirsten! She had met Kevin while playing pool at a local spot called Memories Bar and Lounge (or Mem's for short). After their introduction, Kevin suggested her and her friend's hangout with him and his friends. That next night, both parties met in downtown Sarasota for a night out on the town. Megan and Kevin officially met at a bar called Smokin' Joes. Kevin recalls everyone clearing a path for Megan and experienced what some would call 'love at first sight'. Megan was more concerned with meeting up with her ladies...LOL Their groups got along well and later went to get food at a pizza parlor and played bar games together. At the end of the night Kevin asked for Megan's number, and one of the girls said, "It's 855-555-5555." Kevin felt a little rejected but still offered Megan his phone to input her number. She put in an '847' number, which is NOT a Florida area code. He thought for sure he had gotten a fake number. The next day Kevin sent a message and Megan replied... the number worked! They talked for two weeks straight before seeing each other again at their first date in a beautiful Florida beach town. After their first and second date they knew they had found someone special! They've been falling for each other ever since. <3
Kevin proposed to Megan in her favorite vacation spot- Marco Island, Florida! Her family always vacationed there since she was 2 years old and regularly travel there every October with family friends. This was the 2nd time Kevin would be attending the annual trip and knew how special a proposal in Marco would mean to Megan. With no surprise, Megan was running a bit late for the trip, and they didn't arrive in town until evening. Even so, Kevin walked her to a beautiful fountain at the Eagles Nest resort and got on one knee. Megan's cousin Andrea and her husband Jeremy were hiding in the bushes, getting the best photos of the very special moment. After Megan cried and said "YAAAS!", the group of family and friends celebrated together for a week in paradise.
