Aaron finally popped the question during family photos at the Annual Hacker Family Candy Making Night. Aaron had been acting suspiciously all week, so Emily had a conversation with her mom, Lisa, about how proposing at candy making night would be a very “Aaron move”. Realizing that Emily was catching on, Lisa assured her that candy making was not the night and told her “not to get her hopes up”. Emily was sad and a little embarrassed, and compeltely caught off gaurd when Aaron dropped to one knee in front of the barn.
