3:30 PM! The ceremony starts promptly at 4:00 PM, which means you'll want time to comfortably arrive, walk up to the redwood chapel, grab a beverage, and find a seat. For those taking the shuttle, it will be scheduled to leave the lodge in enough time to arrive at Camp Campbell at 3:30 PM.
Small update on attire — we're shifting from cocktail to formal on the website. The setting is more dressed up than we initially thought, and we wanted to give you plenty of runway. Floor-length dresses welcome, suits expected, layers and grass-friendly shoes recommended since we're outdoors in the redwoods for part of the evening. No stress if you already had something else in mind — anything you'd wear to a formal evening event works.
As much as we love your little ones and furry friends, we are hosting an adults-only, pet-free celebration!
Yes, please let us know when you RSVP and we'll do our best to make accommodations!
Yes, there's a large parking lot onsite and there will be a parking attendant helping to direct cars. We will also be organizing a shuttle service between Brookdale Lodge and YMCA Camp Campbell (the wedding venue) if you prefer.
Yes we would be happy for you to bring your partner or a close friend - this should be included in your invitation. If you're not sure, please ask!
We are working on getting a new room block at one or two new hotels, as there have been some issues with the Brookdale Lodge room block that we originally had organized. We will reach out to those who have already booked with the Brookdale Lodge with new info as soon as we have it. If you haven't booked a hotel yet, please check the travel page on our site by mid-May for the updated hotel blocks or reach out to us directly if needed! We have a wedding block at Hotel Paradox, Autograph Collection (611 Ocean St, Santa Cruz, CA 95060). See our "Travel" page for a link.
Dinner will be a buffet, so, you will be able to pick and choose directly on site. There will be both vegetarian and carnivore options.
About a month out from the wedding we'll recommend a few of our favorite charities. Zola's registry options aren't super charity-friendly (limited options to donate directly) so we're still working out the best way to coordinate. Also, Erin LOVES thoughtful, handwritten cards, letters, drawings, etc. so that would be a very appreciated gift that we would cherish forever. <3
Yes! Everyone is invited to the rehearsal dinner. It'll be an opportunity to casually hang out and catch up, eat food, meet new people, and drink beverages as everyone will be coming from out of town.
The area immediately surrounding the venue is rural (think hills and redwoods). Roads are a bit winding...worth keeping in mind if you tend to get carsick.
