Like any small town love story, we met each other years ago and reconnected through a mutual friend in Richmond on Saint Patrick's day, March 2018.

On Christmas day, Mark and his mom, Tina, came over to my family’s house for Christmas dinner. After dinner, everyone sat and conversed in the living room until Tina eagerly suggested we take a picture in front of the Christmas tree and decorations. After a couple pictures, Mark went down on his knee! At this point I still had no idea the life changing question Mark was planning to ask and I also kneeled thinking he wanted to take a picture with my dog, Clyde! Mark patiently waited for the picture with Clyde to be taken then reached for my hand as I stood up. He popped the question and I was so filled with emotion that all I could say was "Is this real life??" After confirming this was the real thing (multiple times), I was still speechless but eagerly nodded my head "YES!!" The rest of the evening was filled with hugs, love, laughter, and a champagne toast! It was such a special day that Mark and I will always cherish.
