FAQs

Question

When should I arrive in the area?

Answer

To fully enjoy the celebration without the rush, we recommend arriving in the Balzhausen/Munich area by September 23rd. Most local hotels have a 3:00 PM check-in time. By booking your stay starting the 23rd, you’ll avoid the ‘check-in scramble’ on the wedding day and ensure you have plenty of time to get ready before the ceremony begins on the afternoon of the 24th.

Question

Where should I fly in?

Answer

Fly into Munich International Airport (MUC) and rent a car from there to get to the venue.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but to allow all our guests - including parents - a night of relaxation and uninhibited celebration, we have chosen to make our wedding day an adults-only event. We hope you will enjoy the night off with us!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! Due to venue capacity, we can only accommodate those specifically named on your invitation. If your invitation includes a guest, their name (or a 'Guest' slot) will appear when you RSVP here on the website.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up for our big day! The dress code is Semi-Formal or Cocktail Attire. For men, this typically means a suit or a blazer and trousers (no jeans, please). For women, a cocktail dress or elegant separates are perfect.

Question

When should I Rsvp by?

Answer

Please let us know if you can join us by July 1st, 2026. Since many of you are traveling from abroad during the busy Oktoberfest season, we kindly ask for your response by this date so we can finalize our arrangements with the venue and transport services. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Where do I select my meal choice?

Answer

You can select your meal preference right here on our website! When you click the 'RSVP' tab in the menu, you will be prompted to enter your name. Once you’ve confirmed your attendance, the meal options and a space for any specific dietary requirements or allergies will appear for you to select

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

The greatest gift we could receive is having you there to celebrate our wedding with us! Especially since so many of you are traveling long distances to be there with us, please know that your presence truly is gift enough. We will not be having a traditional gift registry. However, for those who have expressed a wish to honor us with a gift, we will be sharing a link here soon for our Honeymoon & Future Home Fund. We will also have a card box at the wedding reception for those who prefer the traditional way. More than anything, we are just looking forward to seeing you all and celebrating this special day together!

Question

What about Oktoberfest?

Answer

Important: Oktoberfest 2026 Dates: September 19th – October 4th You’ve picked an iconic time to visit! Our wedding coincides with the first week of Oktoberfest, the world’s largest folk festival. While this makes for an incredible atmosphere in Bavaria, it also means Munich will be very busy. What this means for you: Book ASAP: Flight and hotel prices in Munich spike during these two weeks. If you plan to stay in the city center, we strongly recommend booking your accommodation now. Stay Nearby: For more standard rates, look for hotels in the Munich outskirts or the Augsburg area (near our venue). Bavaria’s excellent public transit (S-Bahn and RB trains) makes getting into the festival grounds very easy. Join the Fun: If you have extra time before or after the wedding, we highly recommend visiting the Theresienwiese in Munich to experience a 'Maß' of beer and a pretzel! Just be sure to head out early in the day to snag a seat. .
