Our story is not your typical story, some may even say it is more modern, and my response to them is "times have changed". One day as I was scrolling through Instagram, I find a picture of this boy, and think to myself "he looks like a nice guy, maybe we could be friends" so I immediately hit the "follow" button. A few weeks later I worked up the courage to add him on Snapchat, he accepted (good sign). A few more weeks pass, and courage was still a factor as I decided to send him a Snapchat on July 3, 2015. Nowadays I guess you could say I was "shooting my shot". It must have been a game winner because he decided he wanted to marry me. After months of getting to know each other over the phone, we were able to meet on September 5, 2015 where he was sure to show me all of his Hudl highlights before the movie "No Escape" began. The following Monday was labor day, and I was invited over to swim, and meet the family. Since that day, we made sure to see each other every Thursday and/or Weekend for the rest of our Senior Year, especially once we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend October 17, 2015. Daniel later followed me to Texas A&M University (I got my acceptance a week before him). We met many new friends and have had great experiences, I even got to be the girlfriend of a Texas A&M Football Player. How proud I was to go through college with the love of my life. We cried together, we laughed together, we grew together, and we got a dog together (Chevy is our pride and joy). We graduated on December 14, 2019 from Texas A&M University and it was our proudest day. Daniel is now working on getting his PTA degree, and I have found a great job working for Texas A&M University. He finally got down on one knee December 25, 2020 and made the whole family cry. Thank you everyone for being on this journey with us, and being such a great aspect in our life. We love you all more than you will ever know. Love, The Haak's
