Hiking: With more than 150 miles of trails. Immerse yourself in forests, walk along rocky coastlines, or stand on exposed mountain tops — sometimes all in one hike. If a leisurely stroll along the coast or around a lake is more your pace, there are plenty of easier, more level options. Many trails can also be combined with walks on the carriage roads and dirt fire roads. Carriage Trails: There are 41 miles of gravel carriage trails that run throughout the National Park that are perfect for a low impact walk or run or biking. In addition, there are beautiful hiking trails in Northeast Harbor starting across the street from Brown’s Hardware.

The grounds house our production facilities, tasting room, and Mainely Meat BBQ – where Atlantic Brewing Company beers are exclusively on tap.
The Preserve’s beloved garden on a hill, Thuya Garden is a quiet place to wander, reflect and enjoy nature’s beauty. The mossy, granite-stepped Asticou Terraces provide an ethereal approach to the door of the Thuya Lodge and the border gardens beyond.
The historic stop for tea with traditional popovers and jam. Eat at the picnic tables on the lawn for a great view of the pond and surrounding mountains. Jordan Pond can get quite crowded and are not taking reservations this year so we recommend arriving early!!
Best spot in town to get your Donut fix. Our number one go-tos are their glazed crawlers, blueberry and chocolate glazed donuts, and croissants. If your looking for a casual sit down meal, look no further. Colonels is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We recommend their wings and pizza!
One of our favorites! Located on Little Cranberry Island just 2 miles from Northeast Harbor. This restaurant can only be reached by boat. We recommend taking the beal and bunker mail boat out to have a one of a kind experience! The Islesford dock clam chowder is a must!
Outdoor deck & great cocktails. Open for lunch and dinner, we recommend the Hot Crab Dip and the Fried Haddock Tacos
