How We Met

September 30, 2018

Let's take it back to middle school where Jessica became best friend's with Georgiana; Andrew's sister. This is when Andrew and Jessica first initially met. Georgiana and Jessica played softball in Beechwood together, had sleep overs and did all the things that best friends do. Jessica and Andrew had always had a crush on one another but were to chicken to ask each other out. Until Jessica’s Great Uncle Ike died. Both Andrew and Jessica attended the funeral. Let's start with Jessica's side of story. As Andrew was in line to paying his respects for the family, Ann (Jessica’s mom) nudged Jessica and said, “Look who’s here? What’s his name again?”. Jessica responded, “Andrew. Why?” Ann said, “He’s cute!” At this point Jessica still had a crush on Andrew but was keeping her cool and denying that she liked him in front of her family. Now its time for Andrews side of the story. Andrew was driving to the church, in the back if his mind he was hoping Jessica was there. He entered the church and waited in line to pay his respects. While he was in line he noticed Jessica sitting in a pew. Andrew thought Jessica would be a fun and good girl to date. he paid his respects and left. The next day Jessica had the courage to message Andrew and see how he was doing and how he knew Uncle Ike. A conversation grew between the two. Fast forward to the next weekend, where Andrew and Jessica had their first date at Woodland Creek Supper club in New Prospect. Now the rest is history!

Proposal

May 19, 2019

Andrew and Jessica started the day off by going to brunch to celebrate Andrew's dad's (Irv) birthday. After brunch everyone went their separate ways. Andrew dropped Jessica off at her home and he went to his house. They both had time to kill before dinner that they were going to with Matt and Krystal (best friends of Jessica and Andrew). We were going to dinner because Jessica graduated college with her sister the day before. Andrew told Jessica that he had to "help Mark (his stepdad) with things". He really didn't help him; he just paced the house because he was VERY nervous about the proposal. Next, Andrew had to make a stop at the firehouse to "sign the book". This is a normal thing Jessica and Andrew do. (Jessica thought to herself, this better be quick because she was starving at this point and was ready for dinner.) When they arrived, Irv was “doing maintenance” on truck number 14. Irv hopped out to get a "tool" from the firehouse, so Andrew climbed in the fire truck and asked Jessica to hop in too. Then, Andrew was explaining the air pack to her and Jessica was trying with all her might to remember everything that he was saying. (Jessica doesn't remember anything about the air packs to this day.) Next, Andrew asked Jessica "What are you doing for the rest of your life?" Jessica answers, "Nothing!" Then, Andrew pulls the ring out of his pocket and Jessica says happily " Andrew Scott!" Andrew then asked, "Do you want to spend the rest of your life with me?" Jessica says" Yes of course!" He put the ring on her finger and Jessica's family then came out of the firehouse to congratulate them. Finally, Andrew, Jessica, Matt and Krystal went to dinner at Creekside.
