The last day of the spring meet is Friday, April 23rd! If you've not been before, it is most definitely worth checking out, and if you have been, it's been at least 18 months. Tailgating, anyone?
Greyline Station is one of Lexington's newest attractions! Previously the old Lexington Greyline Bus Station, the converted space is home to a number of local bars, restaurants, and shops. They allow drinks to be carried around freely within the confines of the space as well so you can satisfy your urge to shop for a new houseplant while you sip on your mule :) The space is also home to the Julietta Market, where local makers and entrepreneurs showcase their wares and services. Truly a fun spot, and one of my favorites!
The James Pepper Distillery is one of many cool spots within the Manchester Distillery District. The recently revived, historic distillery offers tours Wednesday through Sunday, and tours can be booked on their website. Not into whiskey? The district contains a number of bars and restaurants all within short walking distance of each other, and social distancing is easy to practice with the multitude of outdoor spaces available.
Raven Run offers beautiful hiking and walking trails if anyone is eager to see Kentucky springtime in full swing. And the best part: it's only a 25 minute drive from downtown!
The Gorge is a true Kentucky gem, offering a multitude of hiking trails of various difficulties as well as world class rock climbing. It is beautiful at any time of the year, but especially so in the springtime. This would be a great day trip option! It is approximately 1.5 hours from Lexington on the Mountain Parkway.
