It all started when Dylan wouldn't stop awkwardly asking Gwen out while she was just trying to wait tables at the local bar he frequented. After wearing her down a bit, Dylan finally got her to agree to dinner and a movie. He set it up, got ready three hours early, was about to head out to pick her up when she stopped answering her phone (which is attached to her hip). Naturally, he figured he got stood up. But, a few hours later Gwen answered with an excuse and an apology. He got over it and they went out the next day. Of course, that night there was a torrential downpour, so they decided to stay in. They ended up sitting up until four o'clock in the morning telling each other their life stories, family histories, and favorite memories. They realized that the rain didn't ruin anything; it showed them that it didn't matter what they were doing, they just loved each other's company. A few more dates, more late nights together, and Dylan knew he was madly in love. He asked Gwen to be his girlfriend just a few weeks after that date, and she agreed - she was in love too. A few months later, the new couple become parents! Cat parents, that is. They brought home their first baby, Willow (aka Willy, Willy Willz, Willow Smith, etc.). Next thing they knew, a pandemic set in and trapped them inside together. It didn't phase Gwen and Dylan though. They found they only loved one another more with each day they spent together. Soon, Dylan made Gwen's dream come true, and they became parents again to a goofy, smelly, cuddly golden retriever named Bowie (aka Bobo, Bobo Bear, the Abominable Boman, etc.). The couple worked hard and saved up to travel the world together. Six years later, after moving in together, becoming cat parents, dog parents, making memories all over the world, and finding their faith, Dylan and Gwen were more deeply in love with each other than ever. Dylan asked Gwen to be his wife on July 5th, 2024, and she said "Yes!" They could not be more thrilled for this next chapter of their life together to begin, and are so excited to celebrate their true love with family and friends on October 1st, 2026!
