Where should I park for the wedding ceremony?

St. Louis is primarily street parking. Ride share apps are encouraged.

What should I expect during the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Jenn and Gwen will be married according to the traditions of the Episcopal Church. There will be hymns, liturgy, a sermon, and communion. Don’t stress it! A preview of the liturgy can be found in the Book of Common Prayer. We will have programs that will make it easy for everyone to follow along during the ceremony. The service will be a little under an hour. Communion is voluntary and everyone is welcome to receive a blessing at the altar. If you would like to receive a blessing simply cross your arms and the priest will say a prayer. Baptized Christians are welcome to partake in the elements. Please do not feel pressured to partake. The Episcopal Church is inclusive and recognizes the union of LGBTQIA couples. Jesus is also cool and recognizes the union of LGBTQIA couples. P.S The officiant is Jenn’s best friend Chris and Jenn’s Maid of Honor and Godmother is an Organist who will be playing live during the ceremony. Unfortunately, the greenhouse does not have an Organ- but keyboards are great.

Both brides will walk down the aisle. Each bride will have her special moment and will be accompanied by their mother.

Are they changing their last names?

Answer

Yes! After their vows Jennifer Carter and Gwendolyn Strzelecki will both change their last names. Introducing Mrs & Mrs Bryan! Who are the Bryans? Jenn’s maternal side of the family for many generations held the last name Bryan. It is the name her Irish ancestors brought with them pre-American Revolution. Give Jenn a beer and she’ll answer all the genealogy questions with genuine buzzed enthusiasm.
