The 55-acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields are in bloom for approximately six to eight weeks each year – from early March through early May.

A pretty state beach, close to the wedding venue with volleyball courts and a dependable, fairly soft beachbreak that is typically fun to surf. The "moonlight" in the name of this beach comes from the fact that local residents used to come to the area for midnight picnics early in the early 1900s.

Formerly a Naval Training Center, this area is now has a large public market with tons of good food, an arts district with studios and galleries, and a huge park backing up to one of the fingers of Mission Bay.
