Katelyn is the best daughter a Mom could ask for! Just finishing up her sophomore year, she is majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Philosophy at the University of Cincinnati. Katelyn is a muralist for Artworks Cincinnati. She has worked as a project manager and artist for many of the wonderful murals downtown, and she is excited to be starting work as a designer too!
Jacob Detwiler
Man of Honor
Jacob is the best son a Mom could ask for! After graduating last June from Northwestern University in Computer Science, he started his position as computer programmer for Epic. Do you have MyChart on your phone? Jake writes the code for that application. Pretty cool! He is currently living in Madison, Wisconsin, and when he has free time, you might find him out on the lake ice fishing!
Evan Highland
Best Man
Evan is the best son a Dad could ask for! He is finishing up the first year of his Masters in Health Administration at the Ohio State University. He enjoys working out at the gym and playing volleyball in a community league with friends. This summer, Evan will begin an internship as Administrative Resident for Ohio Gastro. In his spare time, you can find him watching Buckeyes Football or grilling up something tasty on the grill!
Lucy Highland
Best Woman
Lucy is the best daughter a Dad could ask for! She just graduated from Loyola University in Chicago with a double degree in Economics and History. Lucy loves being involved in the political process and traveling. This year, Lucy did a semester abroad in Rome, Italy. She enjoyed the architecture, the history, and the nightlife! After graduation, she’s hoping to find work similar to her internship with World Business Chicago, the city's economic partner.

Miriam, Gwen and Elise have been Wahlverwandtschaft (the family you choose) for over 30 years. True friends through thick and thin, we have seen each other through many of life’s adventures. How appropriate then that Miriam and Elise will read Philippians 4 at the wedding. This verse acknowledges that life is full of good and bad, beautiful and ugly, but it encourages us to focus our hearts on “things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious…”. If ever there were two friends who embodied these attributes, it is Elise and Miriam, my soul sisters and forever friends.
Daniel Weeks
Tenor
Dan is on the Voice faculty of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is a fantastic tenor, having sung in many prestigious halls from Carnegie Hall to the Metropolitan Opera and now Union Presbyterian Church! You’re going to love his singing- especially the Lord’s Prayer, which he will sing while accompanying himself on guitar. This guy is really something, and we are so blessed that he will share his talents on our special day. Thank you Dan!
Brad Caldwell
Pianist
Brad is the Artistic Director for the Cincinnati Fusion Ensemble as well as an accomplished collaborative pianist. Among his numerous awards, he was a finalist in the Walter M. Naumberg Chamber Music Competition, and recipient of the Gold Medal for Collaborative Piano at the Conservatoire de Paris. He and Gwen have collaborated in many recital performances together over the years, and we are so honored to have him play for our special day. Thank you Brad!
Reverend Lisa Stenner

Lisa is the Pastor at Union Presbyterian Church where Mark and Gwen have been attending together for the past two years. She inspires the church community with her spirited and authentic leadership style. We have found God’s love reflected in the faces here and have received so much kindness and support for our growing relationship. When our engagement was announced, the whole congregation broke into lively applause! We are so glad to be getting married in our home church, with our dear friend Lisa officiating.
