FAQs

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Come as you are! From jeans and a ball cap to a ballgown, we encourage our guests to be themselves so that everyone can feel comfortable and confident. Please keep in mind there is grass and gravel as it’s an outdoor wedding, HEELS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED!

Question

Where do I go?

Answer

The Whitman family home! The address is 5323 Hammond Rd. Lapeer MI, 48446. If you are still having trouble finding us please reach out.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Our wedding registry is somewhat untraditional, we have been hard at work building a home for ourselves. That is why we have asked for contributions to a honeymoon fund! We would be so very grateful if instead of spending money on something we likely don’t need our guests could help make our dream honeymoon a reality!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before, we would like to avoid delays as much as possible as we only have our photographer for a small window.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please do not bring an extra guest unless specified in your invitation or if the happy couple has approved it, there is very limited space and extra people will likely not have a place to sit.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please make us aware of any food allergies or intolerance! We want everyone to have a good and SAFE time.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is not a parking lot as it is a backyard wedding, there will be spaces closer to the house reserved for designated guests who need more direct access.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! As long as they are listed on the invitation and are accounted for in guest seating. However there will come a point where we might need them to go home with grandma before we start to really party!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

There will be a wedding shower on July 20th. The mother of the bride (Tracey Whitman) is handling invitations and guest lists for this.
