Maid of Honor
With Max it was love at first sight – we connected immediately after meeting in our Freshman dorm room. Max will go out of her way for the people she loves, and her caring nature is felt whether you’re a friend of 10 years or 10 minutes. We’ve been through the best time of our lives together and looking back, I would not have shared it with anyone else. She is family to me. From the late nights in Pennsylvania, the drinking incident (mine obviously), injuries - we love life, we took care of each other and will for the rest of our lives.
Best Man
Ahh Mikey. I got to know this guy after he spent multiple nights hanging out, trolling under my beer pong table. I had to show this poor soul the ropes, which led to us developing a close bond from then onwards. Truth of the matter is, when Mike first stepped on campus, you could tell he was special. He stood out on the field - his personality was humble. I knew he was a guy I wanted to get close with, and after many weight room hours, animal noises, YUM games, table runs, Motor City shoes, “barracuda” calls, and everything in between – he’s a guy I’d do anything for. There is a reason why he is one of the very few to conquer the gauntlet of minor league baseball – he does things the right way, cuts no corners, works harder than the guy next to him, and is loyal to his core.
Bridesmaid
My favorite hard headed, passionate and loyal Colombian, she’s an extremely smart and accomplished engineer. Just like me, she is very proud of where she’s from - Colombia might as well be tattooed on her forehead. Her deep care and relationship with her family bleeds down into our relationship – I can feel the “amor”. Road trips in the van and nights in the hotel were not tolerable without the best cuddler on the planet. She takes the lead on showing her friends just how much she appreciates your friendship, and that is a quality I deeply appreciate.

JoeJoe and I grew close on the long roadtrips during our college baseball days. “YUM” aside, we spent most of our hours strategizing on how to excel in and conquer the world after college. I’d say looking back, those may be the most productive hours of my college years (that’s including classwork). Our weekly phone calls are a mainstay to this day, and life decisions for both of us are usually finalized after we gather each other's opinion.

I’ve known Marie since we were 11. She wears her heart on her sleeve, which I admire. Our friendship grew strong on and off the tennis court. I’ve always considered her as my small sister, although she’s much taller than me. Growing up, both our houses were the focal points for parties. Movie nights at hers or underaged drinking sessions at mine, I will cherish those years forever. Even if we were on opposite sides of the country during our college years, we always stayed in touch. Her honesty carries heavy weight in my decision making, and I value her opinion more than anyone.

Rusty is the oldest friend I have. Living 3 houses away from each other (with the shortcut) naturally led to us coordinating every day together. Rides in the Molson van were a regular occurrence, and God bless Molson Cold Shots. I'd like to thank Rusty for formally giving me enough Molson Canadian related attire to attract the one Canadian at school who I am going to spend the rest of my life with (the night Ellie and I met, I was literally wearing Molson gear head to toe {and drinking from a Molson Boot}). We’ve been through a lot together, and for a long time it was always me and him against the world. I am thrilled that we have been able to keep our friendship strong, despite living in different countries. Long Live Molson Wheat.
Bridesmaid
Never a dull moment with Tami. She supersedes the stereotypical German badass persona. Always the life of the party, I can personally guarantee a fun night with her in attendance. She is the best doubles partner in the world, and I still think we could have gone far in the professional arena. I’ve always admired her free spirit – since college, she has lived an amazing life and one I will be sure to tag along with for as long as I am alive. P.S. do not challenge her at a drinking contest!
Groomsman
Spence is by far the smartest person I have ever met. I encourage everyone reading this to connect with spence during the weekend, as he has a way of drawing you into a conversation and subsequently blowing your mind with his social skills (no pressure Spence). We actually first connected on Team Ontario where we were teammates before college. After both committing to Oakland University, we also became Freshman roommates. I believe surrounding yourself with amazing people catapults both your life and learning capacity in an accelerated fashion – and Spence is the perfect acquisition to what I would consider my (very tight) inner circle.

Heading straight from College to New York City, was a big move for us. We had to find our own way to fit in, and when I eventually met Mel, NYC really started to feel like home. She’s the reason why I enjoy NYC so much – she’s a sister from another mister, and she and her family have taken me in like one of their own. Her sarcasm may kill the weary, but being a straight shooter is what I love most about her. We bond over our passion for hockey and baseball, and for anyone connecting with her over our wedding just understand that no team is better than the Yankees or the Rangers. Not one.

Brother-in-law to be, Joel has the ability to make you feel comfortable the second after you meet him. He has made me feel like a brother, and we’ve built a relationship to where I know he will help with anything we ask. I’d be surprised if you didn’t see him be the first guy on the dancefloor, as his energy and willingness to start the party is second to none (takes after his father). I look forward to continuing to build on our brotherhood as time progresses.
