How we met

Right person, wrong time

Elizabeth's POV: Brandon and I first met back in high school — I was a junior, and he was a sophomore. We chatted here and there, but nothing too serious. To me, he was just the bari sax guy who sat behind me in band. After I graduated, we lost touch (though, to be honest, we hadn’t really kept in touch much during school either). Nearly a decade later, fate decided to surprise me. One day, as I was leaving Kroger with my dad and brother, I saw him. Just for just a moment, but my heart skipped a beat. I didn’t have a way to contact him afterward, yet that brief encounter stayed in my mind. Fast forward to May 27th, 2023. I went out to play pool at Pockets with my old high school friend, Lalo. He mentioned that Brandon would be there. Without knowing how perfect it would be, I wore my dinosaur overalls — completely unaware that Brandon loved dinosaurs. When I walked in and saw him up close for the first time in years, something just clicked. It felt like love had been waiting patiently for the right time to bring us together. We started talking, met up a few more times, and on June 2nd — after our second date — Brandon asked me to be his girlfriend. From that day on, we’ve been inseparable, and every moment since has felt like the beginning of our favorite adventure. Brandon's POV
