Carly and Erik’s love story goes all the way back to sophomore year of high school. They were friends for three years before anything romantic ever happened. In fact, they went to three high school dances together — just as friends (even though Carly had a pretty big crush on Erik… he didn’t like her back yet — lol). Everything changed during their senior Europe trip. After traveling through several countries with their classmates, Erik asked Carly to be his girlfriend in the middle of the Swiss Alps — in beautiful Interlaken, Switzerland. Since then, they’ve essentially grown up together. They both attended Harbor Junior College, then tackled long distance as Carly went to UCSB and Erik played baseball in Nashville, Tennessee. This June marked 10 years of being together — a full decade of love, laughter, growth, and shared dreams. They’ve built a life they love filled with pickleball matches, sushi and steak date nights, game nights with family, and serving together in the kids ministry at their church. Their faith has been the foundation of their relationship and continues to shape who they are as a couple. They are so excited to celebrate their love with all the people who mean the most to them — and finally make this thing official!
