Andrew and Maegan met on June 12, 2016. They were both equally skeptical about online dating but it worked! After a few failed dating experiences Andrew and Maegan were matched. After two days of messaging they met up at Refuge for dinner. Apparently Maegan asked too many questions and Andrew felt comfortable enough to start shoving food in her mouth...seriously. He scooped up a chip full of guacamole and shoved it in her mouth while she was in the middle of her 15th question. She tried to seem shocked but on the inside she loved it because food sure is always the way to her heart and he didn’t even know it. Two weeks after hanging out Andrew and Maegan began introducing one another to their families. Maegan‘s family loved Andrew and his family loved her. Being that family was the most important aspect of a relationship it was clear that the two were meant to be. They continued to grow in love. The two created so many fantastic memories with each other, their families and friends. Their relationship has been completely effortless. Andrew is so patient and kind. He always finds a way to make everyday positive. Maegan is so generous and warm hearted. She has even began to develop some sort of liking for sports, which is a miracle. When watching football she may not know the lingo but when you hear her say “that was a turnover” she really means it was an interception. The two have and continue to learn so much from one another.
In August 2018 Maegan told Andrew she was ready to buy a home. He decided he wanted to join her journey. Maegan and Andrew closed on their first house together on November 5, 2018. In the midst of taking one of those pictures with the “sold” sign, Andrew got down on one knee with a keychain in his hands. Around the keychain was an engagement ring. She said yes, they partied, and here they are now!
