Follow the M3 all the way to Junction 9 (Winchester) and follow signs into the city. Simple, mostly motorway driving with no complicated junctions. Around 1 to 1.5 hours. From Gatwick (LGW): Exit Gatwick heading west onto the M23 northbound, join the M25 westbound, then pick up the M3 southbound toward Winchester. Exit at Junction 9. The M25 stretch can add time depending on traffic — allow 1.5 to 2 hours to be safe. Winchester to Avington Estate: From Winchester city centre, head northeast on the B3047 toward Itchen Abbas. Follow the road through the village of Avington and the estate entrance will appear on your right. Use postcode SO21 1DB on your sat nav. Around 10 minutes.
