Maid of Honor
Steph met Liz on Freshman Move In Day at William & Mary - they lived across the hall from each other on what would come to be known fondly as "The Corner" in Barrett Hall. She's grown to be part of Steph’s family and vice versa. From trips to Liz's beloved Eastern Shore of Maryland, to rooming together in NOVA and navigating corporate life, Liz has been there through it all, always with a hug and heartfelt wisdom. When she met Gus early on, she coined the hashtag #gusisgreat, and even though she's been in Nashville for the majority of Steph and Gus's relationship, she's been one of their greatest cheerleaders and each moment they spend with her is a treasure!
Best Man
Best Brother. Best Man. Luke is the coolest of the cool. Though they've known each other from the beginning, Gus is thankful that they're still growing closer to this day (and still quoting The Office in every possible situation). When he's not DJing, Luke is likely working on his house or searching for the best espresso in town. Gus couldn't be more honored to have Luke by his side for the big day!
Bridesmaid
Steph first met Bomin when she stayed with the Collins Family on a visit with Steph’s brother KC one summer break. ("Are they just friends?" my dad asked about her and KC). Fortunately, she's stuck with us since then and officially became a part of the family when she married KC in 2014. To have Bo in your life is to have a fiercely loving, goofy, and loyal friend. Her love of music, snacks, and family vacations made Bo a perfect match for all of us. Steph is incredibly lucky to call her a friend as well as family!
Groomsman
Gus and Bill were in the same fraternity at Virginia Tech, but really bonded in their post-grad years living together in northern Virginia. Shared loves of Hokie football, Waffle House breakfast, and the movie "The Campaign" have cemented their best friend status.
Bridesmaid
Steph met Maggie (and her husband Kyle) via KC and Bomin when she first moved to Northern Virginia after college. Through countless weekends and game nights, Steph and Maggie became fast friends. From belting out Lana del Rey while cooking up delicious meals, watching Downton Abbey over tea, and indulging in endless amounts of silly banter, those first few years in the "real world" contain some of Steph's fondest memories. Though Maggie now lives in Austria with Kyle and their adorable child Elias, she and Steph still make time for regular Skype calls and it feels like no time has passed at all.
Groomsman
Though the Sulmonettis moved to Georgia in 3rd grade, it wasn't until Gus and Cole were in the same 4th grade class together that they met. It was instant friendship and many poker nights and ACC football talk over the years has kept them close even as they've lived far away from each other.
Bridesmaid
Steph and Laura met in middle school in Silverdale, Washington, and almost immediately bonded over a love of horses and playing violin in orchestra class. They spent most of middle school passing notes in the hallways, weekending at horse shows, going to fairs, having sleepovers, and playing badminton. Laura has an eye for art and beauty, and is an extremely gifted photographer. She even photographed Steph’s brother's wedding to Bomin!
Groomsman
Gus made an extra friend in Cole's twin brother Taylor in elementary school. Their friendship has seen years spent navigating high school together, insanely competitive FIFA games, and visiting each other in their adult lives. Though suspiciously rigging Gus' fantasy football team to mediocrity every year as commissioner, Taylor remains one of Gus' best friends.
Officiant
KC has seen Steph and Gus’ relationship from the very beginning when Steph brought Gus home for the first time to Collins Family dinner. From there, it took no time at all for Gus to fit right in with the crew. From Sunday dinners to game nights, Halloween traditions and geeking out over the LeBatard show, much of Gus and Steph’s bonding has been shared with KC and Bomin. As one of the people who knows these two the best, KC will be doing Gus and Steph the honor of performing their wedding ceremony and sharing his words of wisdom.
