Sangeet means “song,” and it’s one of the most fun and lively nights of the wedding! It includes choreographed dance performances, and lots of food and dancing. What to wear: Bring the glam. Think bright colors, fun patterns, and festive vibes. Indian attire for men: kurta, sherwani, etc. and for ladies: Lehengas, sharara pant sets, saris, etc. are encouraged but not required, bright cocktail attire, we want everyone to wear something they feel comfortable dancing in! *Kids are invited to the Sangeet*

Traditional Indian attire encouraged. Head coverings required for all guests during the Sikh ceremony (scarves and bandanas will be provided for guests)
The Sikh wedding ceremony begins with the Baraat, a high-energy procession where Larry will arrive surrounded by music, dancing, and all of you. It’s one of the most fun parts of the wedding! The Milni ceremony follows the baraat. This is a formal welcome between the two families, where family members from both sides exchange garlands and hugs as a symbol of unity. This is the traditional Sikh ceremony centered around the Guru Granth Sahib (Holy Book). The Bride and Groom walk around the scripture as sacred hymns (Lavaan) are sung. It’s spiritual, peaceful, and deeply meaningful. Guests sit in chairs (not on the floor), and head coverings will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own bandana or scarf. Langar to follow. There will be a vegetarian lunch and tea in the Guild’s courtyard, this is a traditional part of Sikh weddings and open to all guests.
