In August of 2020, I flew down to meet my long time best friend, Mamie, for the first time in our almost decade long friendship. I wasn't expecting to find love or anything on this trip, I just wanted to hang out with my best friend. But I wanted to explore the swamps of Louisiana and Mamie told me that her nephew in law had a boat. We went over to his house and it was love at first sight! We immediately hit it off. It was like I was talking to someone that I had known my entire life. We kept in touch after I went back home to Kentucky. And then two months later he surprises me by coming up and visiting, where he asked me to officially be his girlfriend. And then 5 months later I made the big step in moving to Louisiana and starting my life down here and I couldn't be more grateful. In July of 2020, he proposed to me in the absolute most magical way and it has been wedding planning ever since. Despite our differences, we are the same person. Andrew is my best friend and has taught me so many things. He is the most loving, caring, patient person I have ever met. And he will be the best husband ever. I can't wait to start our journey into marriage.
