The Eagles play the Giants on Sunday, October 26th at the Linc. Even if you don't attend the game, make sure to greet any Philadelphians with a friendly "Go Birds!"
For the best views of the city, schedule a tour of City Hall's Tower when you arrive on Friday or if you plan to make a late return trip on Monday. Tour hours are Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Old City is filled with unique restaurants, historic architecture, and museums celebrating American history. We particularly love visiting Independence Hall, the Science History Institute, and the Franklin Fountain ice cream parlor and soda shop.
One of our first dates after Jayesh moved to Philly was at the Magic Gardens! Isaiah Zagar’s immersive mixed media art environment is perfect for a self-guided stroll and photo ops.
Feel like celebrating spooky season during your visit to Philly? We recommend taking a drive to Laurel Hill East or West to view fall foliage or take a tour among the historic mausoleums and tombstones. There are several tours available at either location that weekend.
Visit the Rocky statue (now back at the top of the museum steps) and then spend some time enjoying the exhibits at the Art Museum. Admission to the museum also grants entry to the Rodin Museum, which is just a short walk up Benjamin Franklin Parkway and contains the largest collection of works by Auguste Rodin outside of Paris.
The best place to try some of the best food in Philly! We recommend ordering a roast pork sandwich from DiNic's, Georgian khachapuri (cheeseboats) from Saami Somi, chocolate-chip cookies from Famous 4th Street Cookies, and most importantly, ricotta cannolis from Termini Brothers Bakery (our favorite). There's also plenty of shops which sell unique homewares, teas, and spices.
