Steven and I met at the beginning of our freshman year at Texas A&M. We were both in the same intro biology class, I sat in the very front row and Steven sat in the very back. We had mutual friends and had met informally a couple of times and even chatted over text a couple of times. One day Steven walked in late to class dressed up in a suit and tie, and that was the day it all began. I texted him to make fun of his time management skills, and ended up texting all through the class. After class ended, I went up to him, and he ran away (I’m sure he’ll deny this, lol). After that day, we started texting every day and finally had our first “date” after thanksgiving break (thanks commerce Cafe). From then on we were inseperable. We’ve had our share of rough patches as most people know, but I wouldn’t trade any of our experinces for anything, and im so excited to finally marry my best friend!

After four years and one beautiful daughter together, Steven finally decided to propose. In his best attempt at a romantic proposal, Steven planned an evening out with dinner at the same restaurant he took me to on our first official date in December of 2016, and a proposal in front of the same Christmas tree we posed in front of that same night and a surprise appearance from my family. Unfortunately just days before the proposal I came down with Covid. Steven had his heart set on proposing, though, so he improvised with takeout Perry's pork chops and pictures in front of his own Christmas tree. I knew something was up when he didn't give me a hard time about getting dressed in a suit for dinner at home ;) Even though it wasn't exactly what he had so thoughtfully planned, he still made sure my parents and sisters were on Facetime and we all celebrated with a glass of bubble, after my two week quarantine of course ;)
