First Date: January 12, 2018 Engaged: December 12, 2020 John and Kelly were both raised in Rockland County, New York. John was from Pearl River and Kelly was from Nanuet, neighboring towns. They did not know each other growing up, but both are convinced that their paths crossed long before they met. After graduating High School in 2004, John moved to Long Island for college. While growing his career, he transferred to Virginia before moving back to his hometown in 2016. Kelly had already set roots in Nanuet and was working as a childcare provider. It was on their first date together that the two discovered they had something in common that most people do not. John and Kelly are both one half of twins and they believe they were drawn to each other partially because of that connection. John asked Kelly out each week after their first date. He was confident and very persistent. Kelly on the other hand was a little cautious but slowly came around as she got to know him more. The two eventually became inseparable. They had finally found each other and the rest is history.
