In 2016, Guinelle established a friends group chat of Junior Officers at Fort Bragg. They used this connection to share ideas, products, schedules, etc. to provide support in their new careers. Guinelle was often referred to as Queen Nella or Queen BAB (iykyk). Harrison joined the friend’s group in 2017. He was already in a relationship at the time but he and Guinelle were friends. So he didn’t give it a thought. He broke up with this other woman in 2018. He still hadn’t even considered pursuing Guinelle or “Queen Nella”. He just knew she was way out of his league. They continued on as friends only seeing each other at social and professional events. Then in 2019, Guinelle deployed for 10 months to the UAE and had no communication with Harrison. When she returned home, their group of friends threw a welcome-back night out of fun for Guinelle. During that night out, Harrison admitted to Guinelle that he always admired her and wanted to be her man. There were so many sparks flying it could’ve been a fourth of July celebration. Following the night, Harrison asked Guinelle out for a first date at a breakfast diner named Maribelles. And as they say, the rest was history. Guinelle and Harrison dated wholesomely for two years through two PCS moves, 18 months of international long-distance, and a global pandemic. Harrison asked Guinelle for her hand in marriage on December 29, 2021 in Nassau, Bahamas. And of course, SHE SAID YES! Guinelle and Harrison are currently still long-distance and looking forward to living under the same roof in July 2024.
They have a deep connection with each other even though they’ve been separated for 75% of their relationship. They are also rooted and grounded in Christ. HE is the foundation of their relationship. They also provide a good balance for each other. One provides the fire and the other provides the ice. We’ll let you guess who provides what?
