The wait is finally over!! We’re getting married!

I (Ashley) was about to go into my Hip Hop class. Then I received a facebook messenger notification. I looked at my phone screen and noticed that there was a new message from a "Tyler Guillory". I had just gotten out of a relationship, so I wasn't looking for a new one anytime soon. We started talking in April, we actually planned on going to lunch. I was actually super nervous because i didnt really know what he looked like. Due to the fact that his facebook picture was a vehicle.. was he part transformer? Then I heard my name and thats when i finally saw him. He was so cute! We started hanging out more and more after that. Our go to hangout spot was at Fred Meyers on the couches. This is where Tyler actually met my parents. At first i didnt know what my parents were going to say. They shook Tylers hand, and said that they were happy to meet him. I just didn ‘t know that after this moment, everyone in my family fell in love with Tyler. God definitely had a plan for us.

May 5th 2013, During Iron Man 3, we were sitting up in the balcony of the movie theater. That was when Tyler asked me (Ashley) out. Here was the start of our forever. At that moment, I did not know that this was going to be my last relationship. This was when I knew I had found my soulmate.

I thought we were going out to Pirates cove for my mothers birthday. See her birthday is on June 22nd, so they had planned this whole thing out. We all went to Pirates cove for dinner, I just thought everything was going really smooth. Tyler on the other hand was acting very weird and suspicious. Lately, he had been acting very sneaky and needing to be at work alot more.. I didn't know what was going on. I thought something was happening to us. And boy was there something happening to us because next thing I know he had asked me to marry him.. Before he had asked me, he had accidentally texted me thinking he had texted my dad. He grabbed my phone super quick and he had erased all of our messages back and forth to each other. I was so mad.. but next thing I know he had pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. In my mind I thought it would have been like in the movies.. Where he got down on one knee? Well, we aren't like normal couples. We were all sitting at the table in booths and he had asked me to marry him. You may not think it was that romantic, but time had seriously stood still that night. I knew that I had met my soulmate and right there I knew that this was my forever.

Why October 10th? Why 3 years to wait? We received alot of questions like this leading up to our wedding. Ashley is a procastinator and needs alot of time to plan. In reality a wedding can get pretty spendy. We got engaged in 2017, then we started thinking about houses. April 10th, 2018 we moved into our very first home. Now that we are in our own home, this requires money to be saved up for things that Ashley will break, or for a leaky roof. We just knew 2018 was not going to work. Ashley did have a date in mind, August 17th, 2019. Ashley’s Oma & Opa got married on this date in 1991. It would have been perfect because the year would have been flipped. However, Ashley’s little brother Anthony was graduating in May of 2019 and Ashley’s parents couldnt handle the planning of 2 events for 1 year. So Ashley and I sat down and thought of different dates. What about 10-10-2020? Which actually sounded pretty cool. We started dating on 5-5-2013, 5+5=10, 10+10=20.. it was perfect! That is how our date was picked.
