Guillaume and Tasha’s love story began in the summer of 2022 at Somar Lounge in Oakland, after Guillaume approached Tasha and jokingly accused her of stealing his spot at the lounge table (yes, that was genuinely the best line he could come up with 😂). Tasha was immediately drawn to his kindness, calm demeanor, and the fact that he was surprisingly shy. She also couldn’t help but notice his sneaker game and his French accent, which she absolutely was not expecting. Guillaume, on the other hand, was instantly charmed by her confidence, sassiness, and infectious energy. After a night filled with dancing, jokes, and effortless conversation, he made sure to get Tasha’s contact info before the night ended. For a while, they kept things low-key - casually exchanging DMs, playlists, memes, and conversations on Instagram before G finally asked Tasha out to a SF Giants game. In the beginning, they took things slow, spending more time together trying new restaurants, going to Warriors and Giants games, and talking for hours - usually from opposite ends of the couch in true awkward “are we friends or is this a date?” fashion. As they spent more time together, they bonded over their shared love of music, traveling, good food, and strong family values. Tasha wasn’t always sure whether G saw her as just a friend or something more, mostly because he wasn’t exactly the most vocal about his feelings at first. Meanwhile, G genuinely thought it was obvious he liked her simply because he kept planning dates and spending a lot of his time with her (men lol). Somewhere between the awkward couch talks, inside jokes, and unspoken feelings, G finally admitted he was falling for Tasha - and she realized she felt the exact same way. Slowly but surely, they realized they were building something genuine, meaningful, and lasting together. Early on in their relationship, G asked Tasha to take a Europe trip with him to visit his hometown in Paris, making everything feel even more special. Before long, they became inseparable. Their relationship quickly became the perfect balance of romance, adventure, thoughtfulness, and laughter - the kind of love that feels both exciting and comforting all at once. After almost two years of loving each other, traveling the world together, and building a beautiful life side by side, G asked Tasha to marry him on the beach in the Philippines, the easiest “yes” of her life! Now they share a home in Walnut Creek with their adopted dog, Somar, named after the place where it all began, and are excited to start their next adventure together as husband and wife!
