Michael and Taylor met in the most traditional of ways: a dating app. Michael stumbled upon her profile and, enamored by her wit and beauty, sent the most romantic thing he could think of: "When I’m at the dentist, I like to lick his fingers to let him know who’s in charge." And just like that, they started dating.
Three and a half years later, Michael drove them to their supposed dinner plans in Hammonds Ferry, parking near the Savannah River, in front of the picturesque Hammonds Ferry homes. They began to walk on the path, noticing that both the gazebo and dock are filled with people enjoying the gorgeous weather. More specifically, people that have set up hammocks in the gazebo and are playing board games on the dock. Taylor began to comment on the scene, when suddenly, Michael stepped in front of her and said, "I need to talk to you about something." To which Taylor immediately thought, He's either breaking up with me or proposing and this feels like a really weird way to dump someone.
After quickly realizing she was not being dumped, Taylor listened with tears in her eyes as Michael proposed. He got down on one knee, pulled out the most breathtaking ring, and said, "Will you marry me?" Taylor shouted, "YES!" and as they hugged, they heard a voice cry out, "I take it she said yes?" Across the road, a man sat rocking in his wicker chair, a thumbs-up reaching high into the air. Michael returned the gesture, thrusting his thumb into the air, while Taylor shouted and threw her newly-ringed hand towards the sky and shouted back, "LOOK!!!!!!!!", much like a crazy person.
