It was a beautiful South Texas night at the McAllen Rotary Crawfish Boil back in 2011. I was standing in the crowd with my friend Sarah Hinojosa, when she spotted her friend, Justin. She thought he and I should, meet so we walked over to say hello. Ironically enough, after some chatting we snapped our very first photograph together. Who knew we would be using it on our wedding website 6 years later?! Anyway, as some love stories go, after that night we went our separate ways. I didn't hear from him until last Summer (2016) while I was on holiday in Colorado and he was working in New Mexico. Apparently, two little matchmakers (Sarah & Jessica) were at it again and coaxed him to get in touch with me. Justin and I communicated back and forth until we got back to the Valley and finally went out to dinner. Our first date was full of fun stories and lots of laughs. So I guess as they say, the rest is history. On March 28th, we had made plans to go to Santa Fe Steakhouse. While we were getting ready to head out I noticed Justin was a little antsy. Justin is always a gentleman (his parents did a great job!) and leaves his phone in the truck when we go to dinner, but not that night, so I definitely knew something was up. I just didn't know what. After sharing delicious dinner, Justin and I made our way back to his house. When we arrived, the house had been transformed to reveal a candlelit trail to the backyard pergola. It was there under the twinkling lights with his sweet dog, Rosco, that he anxiously got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I obviously said... Yes!!! We can't wait for all of y'all to be a part of our love story in November!
