Early October is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Maryland because of its reliability of weather and temperature. Because of this, it makes for a very busy wedding season and can make scheduling difficult. We recommend booking your hotel room as soon as possible as well as your travel arrangements. The Hilton Christiana has limited bookings due to 3 weddings taking place over our wedding weekend.
Rosewood Farms is located conveniently between the Baltimore International Airport and the Philadelphia International Airport. Delta services Baltimore and American provides service to both PHL and BWI. After landing at either airport it is about a 1 hour drive to the venue. We will be in the Philly/Delaware area if you wanted to come visit a little earlier for a mini vacay. The east coast is an easy drive to the Philly, Jersey beaches, Washington dc, New York. We could definitely give you some recommendations of where to go!
Great! Rosewood Farms is an old vineyard turned wedding venue so there is plenty of parking on its 44 acre farm. The venue is so kind to let our guests leave their cars overnight if they end up catching a ride with someone else or catching the shuttle bus to the hotel. A reminder, guests cars must be moved the next day for next wedding event
No, you don't! We picked this venue because of its beauty and diversity to allow weddings in all types of weather. A lot of the evening will take place either inside or outside within a covered deck with a convertible roof. There is plenty of outdoor space to roam around for taking pictures and games. There’s also a pretty pond on the property. Just resist the urge to go for a dip ;)
The sooner the better! Some of the essential wedding components need to be completed at least 30 days prior to the event so having the most accurate count makes things a lot easier for us.
Absolutely! We recommend the Hilton Wilmington Christiana Hotel since we have a special wedding rate but the venue area has many amazing places to stay. Our wedding weekend is one of the busiest wedding weekends of the year so we highly advice to purchase hotel rooms as early as possible. If you prefer to be close as possible to the venue, there are morels/hotels within 7-10 min. We recommend the Hampton inn in Elton, Maryland.
YES!!! We have arranged for transportation from the Hotel Christiana to the venue as well as back to the hotel from the Venue. The times are as follows: Pick up time: 3 pm (please arrive in lobby 15 min before pick up time as it takes awhile to load everyone in) Drop off at venue: 330 pm Ceremony to reception: 4 pm - 10 pm Shuttle service will be available through the night for those that need to retire early Last final pick up will be 1030 pm back to Hilton Wilmington Christiana hotel
As much as we'd love to have your little ones at the wedding, we sadly have to limit ourselves to a set number of children at the wedding. We hope this advance notice means this will allow you a much-deserved night off to celebrate with us!
Unfortunately, the buffet menu is already set. We have tailored our dinner menu so that anyone with an allergy or particular discipline for food will have a variety of tasty options to choose from. The Groom is allergic to basically everything so he was particular when choosing the menu :)
We know that a lot of you have traveled a long way to support us in our union so we wanted to make sure you get the best bang for your buck! We have reserved a late night room at the Hilton Christiana where there will be appetizers and a cash bar. Weddings happen fast so we'd love to sit back and relax and catch up with you! yes! The venue wants everyone to get home safely at the end of the night and welcome guests to leave their cars overnight if they choose to join other wedding guests. The next day, cars would need to be moved by 9 am per the venue policy
