His perspective: It was love at first sight the first day I saw her up on the balcony at Grace Road Church. At that very moment, everything went in slow motion, and I thought to myself "I need to know her." I remember curled hair, a twirly dress and high heels... not something you see everyday. I thought to myself, "pure class." I saw them at Fuego sipping lattes and knew I was going to ask her out for coffee, even though I'm not a coffee fan. She disappeared to Chicago for a week, when she came back I took my chance! The next day was the 4th of July, and that was the beginning of late nights when I got to know, and fell head over heels in love. She was the perfect woman, everything I ever dreamed of: stunning, old fashioned, sweet, caring, and kind. And those dresses!!! I was hooked. Her Perspective: I was immediately intrigued by this bearded blond haired, blue eyed, southern gentleman. His truck, his charm, and his handy skills. I soon found out that he’s a woodworker, and was capable of building anything! I always liked a man that was handy! It just kept getting better from there. We all became friends that summer (Yuliya, Maria, Bryan, Quan, and I), and spent many nights around a bonfire with s’mores, losing track of time and getting lost in conversation. It wasn’t until Maria and I went to NYC for a week to visit Yulia (who just moved there) that it hit me… I talked non-stop with Gabe. He picked us up from the airport, and I came back to a perfectly detailed car, which somehow ran better than ever, and he even fixed my headlights (which were out for months!). We got home around 5AM, and only then did I notice he forgot his wallet in my car. He had to catch a flight the next day, so we agreed to meet in the middle (at the George Eastman House). Little did I know, that this meeting would turn into the beginning of our relationship. He asked for just one date. It was a natural transition, since we already had a good friendship. It was meant to be!
