We met in Philadelphia in May 2024 at an expected moment of each other's life after we both lost our loved ones from cancer. But we quickly realized we share not only the same life's tragedy, but also many other life experiences. We grew up in the same city in China, came to the same city in the U.S., and attended the same university as a graduate student. We came to believe Christ Jesus, got baptized and then got first married in the same church. We both love camping, swimming, skiing, piano, and sitting next to a warm fire. But what has truly drawn us together is our determination to seek a higher purpose behind the bittersweet nature of our life, our endeavor to find peace and love in our relationship with our heavenly father, and our desire to rebuild our family where we can share that love with each other and with our children.
