Truffle Hunting
Villa Petriolo offers this amazing experience to discover the hidden “treasure” of the woods of Tuscany. Our local guide will take you to the tartufaia (specific woods for truffle) located close the Villa. You will be looking for the truffle hidden beneath the woods with our truffle hunters and his dogs trained for hunting this fungus. The truffle growing can be different from the season that we are in, here is why the price changes according to the quality of truffle. The main difference is the color and taste between the black and white truffle. After the hunting, you will taste the truffle at Osteria Golpaja. Falconer for a Day
Villa Petriolo cooperates with a young association of expert in prey birds training. This group of young passionate trainers is united by their love for nature and those birds species. Villa Petriolo wants to contribute as much as it can in sharing the beauty behind this world by supporting the acknowledgment of these stunning species and by keeping alive this ancient practice. Our great experience in helicopter gives you the opportunity to discover a different Tuscany! The view from above stands out all the shapes and colors of this region. e-Bike Adventure
From Villa Petriolo you can begin a wonderful adventure through the Tuscan hills by e-bike. The visit is with a local guide who takes to discover the local area. During the visit you will go up the hillside of Montalbano until the village Vinci where Leonardo was born and the mill valley. Getting back on the road from Vinci you will arrive to Cerreto Guidi where there is one of the villa from the family Medici. The route include country roads and little local road with little traffic. We advise this experience to people interested in discovering the local history and want to ride the road on two wheels!
