We started off as friends from school and we both had the same after school job. Roy actually had a crush on me and even asked me to be his date to his senior prom! Long story short, we didn't go to prom together (sorry again honey lol) but looking back to it, we are both grateful for how things happened because it all led to us bumping into each other a couple of years later and that was when our love story began. We had a few dates with lots of laughter and flirting. On November 10, 2017 Roy asked me to be his girlfriend. Little did we know, of all the great things our Lord had in store for us.

On Sunday, November 10, 2019, we were praising our Father for allowing us to be together for two wonderful years. So we were at church and six people were going to be baptized that day (PRAISE GOD). My fellow praise team members and I, were told to sit in the very front and before I knew it, Roy had stood up in front of our church to say a few beautiful words about baptism when suddenly I am being told to go stand up in the front with him. I was instantly overwhelmed with emotions and eventually managed the courage to get up there because i was shy and it took me a few seconds. Meanwhile, my soon to be brother-in-law managed to sneak off and go outside, where our families and friends were waiting, and led them all inside. So, as I am standing next to Roy, I have yet managed to look up (because I am ugly crying). Roy is giving this beautiful speech, sharing a little bit of our testimony, and just praising God for all his wonderful work. I finally look up and once again I am a in a puddle of tears. Looking up, I see not only our church family, but both our families in the back witnessing the love of my life proposing to me. FINALLY! The moment we have been waiting for, Roy drops down on one knee and says "Te quieres casar conmigo?" I am too busy crying to speak so I nod my head pretty hard and watch as this amazing man puts my gorgeous ring on my finger! One of the happiest days of our lives.
