Jennifer and I met back in high school. I went back and forth for over a month with her before she said yes to going out with me. Before that we would spend our time hanging out with each other at the park after she got out of school. We also spent some of our time walking around the Chino Spectrum as well as hanging out with Jeremy and at the time his girlfriend. I started going to Holy Name of Mary in San Dimas with her and together we got involved in the youth program there. We spent time at youth events and a youth retreat together which is where I realized that she was the girl for me. She's my high school sweetheart and even though there were times where I thought we'd never be together again, I've never stopped loving her.
Jen and I had been talking about getting married for a while and although we had already decided we wanted to, I still needed to ask her dad for permission. While Jen was away at a teacher convention, I finally had the opportunity to talk to him. We were both lucky enough to get tickets to a Dodgers/Angels game where I asked Jen to marry me during the 7th inning. She was so excited when I asked her, and she couldn't stop smiling.
