As neighbors, they grew up knowing each other long before they ever imagined what the future might hold. In 2017, their story truly began, when friendship turned into something more. Even then, there was a little rivalry woven into their connection—Megan attended St. Mary’s while Devin went to Johannesburg–Lewiston. On Friday nights and game days, they cheered from opposite sides, Megan watching Devin’s football games and Devin showing up for Megan’s basketball games, rivals on the court but always quietly rooting for each other. After high school, life led them down different paths. Devin stayed close to home, dedicating himself to the farm and his cattle, while Megan followed her dream to Michigan State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Though distance separated them during college, their hearts never wavered. They learned how to grow together even when they were apart, building a love rooted in patience, trust, and unwavering support. That love carried them into the next chapter, when Megan was accepted into the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she is now a second-year student. Through long days, early mornings, and countless seasons of change, Megan and Devin have stood side by side—proving that true love doesn’t fade with time, distance, or challenge, but only grows stronger. Today, their favorite moments are often the simplest ones. You’ll find them at the farm, working hand in hand, taking quiet walks out back with their dogs, Molly and Harlan, or spending time together on Michigan State’s campus—grateful for every step that led them here and excited for all the seasons still to come.
