Tyler was in his Sophomore year of college at UW-Plattteville when he was at a friends house cooking Christmas dinner with a group of close friends, which happened to be the house that Sydney, Ashley's sister, was sharing with 3 other girls at the time. Sydney, the social butterfly that she is, was sitting on the couch watching the National Finals Rodeo. Now if you don't know Tyler, the NFR is why we will always have a subscription to The Cowboy Channel in the future. As he was casually watching it with Sydney, she mentioned her little sister, Ashley, who she thinks would be a great fit for Tyler. She texted Ashley that same night and told her to follow Tyler on Instagram. She went ahead and followed him, as her sister strongly suggested. Fast forward to February of 2023 - Tyler was still on Ashley's mind. So much so, her friends at UW-River Falls, who were avid line dancers, tried to help her learn how to line dance. That didn't work so well because, 2.5 years later, she still doesn't know how to line dance... Fast forward again to May of 2023 - Tyler builds the courage to add Ashley on Snapchat and message her - 5 months later...It happened to be the week before Sydney was graduating from UW-Platteville. Just a short week later, Ashley was sitting in the gym watching Sydney graduate, when she got a text from Tyler saying he's sitting across the gym from her. Lexi, Ashley's little sister, helped scout him out in the large crowd of people. But don't get too ahead of yourself, they still didn't meet in person that day...Although a week later, Tyler asked Ashley on their first date at The Heron's Landing in Jefferson, WI. The same place, where, 2 years later, Tyler asked Ashley to spend forever together:) We are beyond excited to celebrate with you all on August 22nd, 2026 and add this date to our story!!
