Things to do
We're so excited for you to see why we love Bend! Here are some of our favorite spots!
HIKING
- River trail (Difficulty: Easy) You can park in the Old Mill shopping center, and walk the paved or dirt trail as far or short as you'd like. We love walking up and down the river area. Very little elevation gain.
- Pilot Butte (Difficulty: Easy-Medium) This is the butte right in town! It is about 2 miles total and 500ft of elevation gain. Great views on clear days!
*You can also drive up to the top instead of hiking!
- Tumalo Falls (Difficulty: Medium)
- Smith Rock (Difficulty: Medium-Hard)
- Black Butte (Difficulty: Hard)
SHOPPING
Old Mill: outdoor retail mall with shops, restaurants & a riverside trail.
Downtown: plenty of shops & restaurants/bars
WATER ACTIVITIES
You can rent tubes to float the river, kayaks, and/or paddle boards at Tumalo Creek.
We love parking around First Street Rapids Park and spending the day at the river.
Some of our favorite Lakes are Suttle, Scout, & Elk.
