Brenna and Jeremy met in the summer of 2022 on Hinge, where modern romance lives and dies by good photos and questionable prompts. Their love story officially began when Jeremy asked Brenna if she was making fun of the “11s” on his forehead because they looked like lips. A bold opening. Somehow, it worked. Their first date took place at Beer Baron in Santa Rosa, where they talked long enough to convince themselves this might actually be something special. The night ended with a kiss on a bench on 4th Street, made unforgettable when a passing car slowed down just long enough to loudly make fun of them. Nothing brings two people together quite like being publicly roasted by strangers. From the start, their connection was real and easy. They learned how to communicate, how to choose each other, and how to grow together, setting the foundation for a relationship built on trust, laughter, and intention. Around the time they first met, Brenna adopted Hopper, a shy and deeply suspicious cat who would prefer not to be acknowledged at all. Later, Brenna and Jeremy adopted Flik together, a much more social cat who is very happy to be involved in absolutely everything especially if it involves food. Together, Hopper and Flik complete their little family, even if Hopper remains unconvinced and is slowly plotting their death from his cat tree. They bonded over their shared love of hiking, biking and being outdoors with their wonderful friends, followed immediately by going home to recover, because at heart they are cozy homebodies. Jeremy’s proposal was perfectly on-brand, low-key, intimate, and slightly sneaky. He proposed in bed, slipping the ring onto Brenna’s finger before she fully woke up just to be safe. When she opened her eyes, he asked her to marry him. She said yes of course however they still chuckle to think Jeremy missed a step when asking after placing the ring on her finger. Beyond the life they have built together, Brenna and Jeremy feel incredibly lucky to be growing a wonderful family through Brenna, surrounded by Jeremy’s parents and Brenna’s grandma and mom, whose love and support mean the world to them. They laugh constantly, are incredibly silly together, and feel most at home doing absolutely nothing side by side. What started as a joke about forehead wrinkles turned into a life built on love, comfort, laughter, cats, family, and choosing each other every day.
