Matron of Honor
I met Carly back in high school, and life kept bringing us back together—from LPN school to now working side by side in the ICU at Chippenham. We’ve shared a lot of the same life chapters (including currently dragging ourselves through BSN classes together), and through it all, Carly has become one of my closest friends and biggest sources of support. She’s the kind of friend who just gets it, and I’m so lucky to have her by my side today.
Best Man
Phil is my brother, my built-in best friend, and the guy I’ve shared a lifetime of adventures with—from playing outside as kids to competing in high school sports together. We’ve always known how to have fun, but what means the most to me is his wisdom and steady presence. He’s the one I turn to when I need advice or a clear head, and I’m so grateful to have him standing with me today.
Bridesmaid
I met Madison in the trenches of med/surg nursing at Chippenham, where I had the joy of working with her during her very first nursing job. Her energy, positivity, and big heart have been a light through some of the toughest days—especially during the pandemic. Madison (and her amazing husband Jake) have kept our spirits up with amazing work parties and lake retreats at Smith Mountain Lake. She’s been not just a coworker, but a true friend who brings joy wherever she goes.
Groomsman
Dan and I met while I was working at Park View Credit Union in Harrisonburg after undergrad, and we quickly hit it off. Our friendship was built on a shared love of motorcycles, late-night garage sessions, and the kind of deep philosophical conversations that somehow always made sense at 1 a.m. He’s a loyal friend, a fellow thinker, and someone I’ve always valued having in my corner.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I met over 10 years ago in nursing school and became fast friends. We started our nursing careers together at Chippenham, learning the ropes side by side and cheering each other on through every step. Over the years, we’ve been through thick and thin, and she’s been a constant in my life. I had the honor of standing by her side as a bridesmaid in her wedding, and I’m so grateful she’s here to stand by mine.
Groomsman
I met JP in grad school at Eastern Mennonite University, and our friendship has been full of adventures ever since—including an unforgettable motorcycle trip to the Outer Banks. Even after school, we’ve stayed close. JP moved to Richmond a few years before I did, and he’s been my unofficial tour guide ever since, showing me all the best local spots. We bond over our love of soccer—even if he supports Arsenal instead of the clearly superior Liverpool—and we’re proud regulars at Richmond Kickers games. He’s a solid friend and one of my favorite people to explore life (and the city) with.
