We're getting married!

We both attended Humble High School, but our paths quickly diverged. While many assume we first met there, that's not the case. Sterling graduated from Christian Life Center, and Allison departed Humble High school a year early to kickstart her life. Our actual introduction happened at The Waffle House in 2011. Sterling was in town for the holiday break, and we found ourselves as the third wheels on both of our best friends' date—shoutout to Jacob'e and Brianne. We sat in the booth somewhat reluctantly but also delightfully. The details of that night are a bit fuzzy, but Sterling distinctly remembers me saying he gives the best hugs. Little did we know, that was our only encounter for the next eight years as Allison moved to New York City just two weeks later. Mutual interests kept us connected through the years, with the help of social media. Fast forward to 2019 when Allison moved back. Just like we never missed a beat, two weeks later, Sterling sent a DM: 'you should let me take you out.' ... I said yes, and our first date was at Steak 48. Since then, we've been inseparable. Our love is built on friendship, laughter, love, peace, and unwavering support. Together, we share a passion for plants, food, music, travel, bringing people together, and prioritizing health, aspiring to be our best selves. We feel blessed to embark on this lifelong journey together, and we're grateful to have all of you with us.

During what was initially planned as Sterling's birthday dinner, he surprised me with the most heartfelt proposal to spend the rest of our lives together in the company of close friends and family at Eddie V's.

So, why Grown N Love? It's a tribute to our love, and our appreciation for plants. Living together, we developed a love for growing plants—caring for them, selecting ones that set a particular ambiance in our home, something to nurture and tend to.
