Our Story

You know when you read a good story, it’s hard not to share or re-read it over and over again? That’s how I feel about our story. Definitely might be biased, but it is my favorite love story yet! I had been praying about my future husband for years. And I can’t help but give God all the credit in our lives. So here it goes.. After starting at my new church, The Gathering, I had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and make some wonderful friends. After getting to know my friend Sarah, I was invited to her house to talk and see her new house renovations. As I walked into her house, a very tall, handsome man, was laying flooring in the living room. We didn’t say anything to each other, but I definitely noticed him. After that day I couldn’t stop asking Sarah about that handsome man. Sarah began questioning me asking, “do you like Greg?”… “What? Me? No! I was just curious…” Along the way, Greg started showing up at every event I was at. And I totally embarrassed myself in front of him pretty much every chance I got, unfortunately haha… But I think it made some kind of impression on him. (Shout out to Sarah because she’s the reason I met this wonderful man <3) I learned Greg’s grandparents owned the barn I boarded my family horse at growing up. And as it turned out, he was our ‘farm hand’ who helped take care of the horse for us. (Talk about hallmark level love story) We talked about our goals and dreams for our future and lo and behold we had so much in common. And I really started to recognize the prayers I had been praying for years coming to life. We received so many confirmations that this was in Gods plan (ask me about the bookshelf)… so if there is anything I could say to encourage someone, it would be that we have a God who loves us and wants to have an intimate relationship with us. He wants to give good gifts to his children and he listens to our prayers. He wants to bless us. God has been so gracious and loving to us, and that’s what we want to share with everyone.. Gods love for each and every one of us. It’s unimaginable. When we make him our ‘one thing’ it changes everything. Seek first the kingdom and all will be added. Anyway…so now we are here, preparing to say “I do”. ‘Thank you’ to all of you who came along side us on our journey. The best is yet to come!
