Finally!Finally!

It all started in 2014 during our senior year of high school. She reached out on Facebook Messenger asking him to come to volleyball substate and help lead the student section. She claims her friends pressured her into messaging him, but he knows the truth — he was simply irresistible. Of course, he said yes, and the rest is history. After that, we started talking more and spending time together at school events. Somewhere along the way, he decided to drop the “L” word first. She was completely caught off guard and responded with a simple “Okay” before quickly walking away. Thankfully, she recovered quickly and said it back the very next day. After high school, she headed to Washburn University to begin a nursing journey and convinced him to join the following semester. Although we had already been together for over a year, college was really where our life together began. We made it through college side-by-side as best friends, supporting each other through every late night, challenge, and milestone. After graduation, she bought a home in Roeland Park. He announced a desire for a dog, and she made it very clear there was absolutely no way unless the dog lived with her. Well, that left him with only one solution — he moved in with her. Enter Finn — the goodest boy ever and the newest member of our little family. As the years went on, he somehow continued not to propose (for absolutely no reason at all), while she made sure to lovingly bring it up to friends and family. Finally, on November 17, 2025, he put his plan into motion. He had one of her best friends, Christina, invite us to a fake dinner, while also making sure her nails and outfit were perfect for the occasion. Before dinner, he convinced her to help him shop for shoes and then casually suggested a walk through the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art grounds — except it was actually her idea, which completely threw her off. Waiting nearby were two of her best friends, Christina and Kylie, along with Finn, ready to capture the moment. He proposed, she said yes, and we celebrated the rest of the evening surrounded by our families. Now we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you.
